Styrofoam granulate is a foamed polystyrene semi-finished product used to produce polystyrene blocks. It comes in a loose form, with granules ranging in size from 2 to 8 mm. The granulate can be expanded to any weight. It is used as a material for:
- filling the floors between the joists,
- as lightweight aggregate for concrete products
- filling hard-to-reach places, flat roofs and empty spaces in walls using the blowing method
- filling rehabilitation mattresses and new bedsores,
- filling pouffes, some types of furniture and as an element in the production of decorations.
The granulate may contain black or blue balls.
